If a higher rated player totally agrees with you, and you completely disagree with them, does that mean you disagree with yourself? Tongue Out

Oh, sorry, missed that part about 'higher rated players that don't praise your finding'. Doh! Once again my warped logic has backfired on me!

Haha the "reviewing game" thing does seem to be occuring an awful lot lately..

I really don't understand why of all people you should want to change the rules?????

You have invented the one opening that wins always (also when you are playing on the other side of the board?) yet you want to change the rules???

There was another subtlety that I did not understand in your rule set. I had to ignore some tactics when they do not favour your point of view. If that is already true, why should then all tactics be banned? What is left of your impressive game without your favourable tactics? Only the first subset should be enough, isn't it?

Will your game still be impressive when the rules are changed?

Is this the first step to bring a chess engine on the market that uses your new rules?

Guy, aluminium is worthless. I know it's true, I read it on the internet. You have to purify some silver in a lunar fountain and dance around it reciting the incantations of my sacred manual ($99.99 plus shipping $0.99 per mile), then smith it into a helmet.

Nothing like a good troll ~:D

Ubik42

People who use smith as a verb play too much WoW.

LoekBergman

People who know that too.

I've discovered a forced mate in 50 which I'm saving to spring on the world when I get my unfairly denied shot at the World Champ match accepted. It involves 64 main lines with around 10^25 alternate lines. I'll let you know when it's ready to be published. Being so lowly rated, I'm very surprised no one else has come up with it! As a big hint, most lines leading to forced mate involve bring out the queen early, usually move 2, and marauding around with her.

I also have an aluminum hat I wear to keep my thoughts from being read by aliens and the NSA.

Of course. The early queen out. Priceless.

OP, you forgot, "Never, under any circumstances, resign".

Yep.This is the best!

And, under no circumstances should either party say gg after the game is over. Not under penalty of the offended person having a thread started about it. In addition, each party should accept all rematches offered as long as they are offered, no matter whether either party has school, work, or even pressing issues like having to go to the bathroom, or getting sleep. If one party wants to play all night long, that must happen, even if the other party loses their job. Again, this is under penalty of having a thread started about it.

This is turning out to be one of the best Non-troll thread in recent times.

Lol yeah. And the opposite: "Always resign when down X amount of material"

Had to re-post this as well from another thread / hopefully doesn't zing the ban-filters.

I have a problem with my "rating" size  (let's call it that)

a) I never think mine is good/big enough.
b) Rather than enjoy playing with the rating I have and just having fun, I ruin every happy moment by focussing on not letting it fall down/go limp.
c) I'll also be constantly looking for cheap fixes online to pump the rating  up ;)
d) I will  overcompensate by repeatedly buying expensive "software" vehicles (often made by Germans).

e) I constantly watch live videos of players with enormous (often freakish) ratings go at it and get even more excited if anyone tries anything offbeat or unconventional .

f) I  arrogantly pretend to understand and imitate those "maneuvers" in my  own games with disastrous /embarrassing effects.

Wow it looks like people have recognized all sorts of beginner behavior. I think we need an encylcopedia of the normal instincts and behavioral trates that these beginners have in their natural environment, chess.com

Similar to a manual on say, foreign species invading a new ecosystem, the thread would have information on what to expect and how to deal with each possible scenario.

What book to I read to become a GM?

billyblatt

I don't know nobody has given the op a proper response.

Firstly, I think you will be banned if you inslut anyone, or their mothers. You are not allowed. There has been many topics of discussion about rude behavior. Please take this advice into consideration.

Yeah I agree with you. A lot of stronger players can make mistakes. This happens with the GMs. We often see refuted lines later on. So yeah ok, you don't have to believe everything they say.

Which rules are you talking about?

As for the openings, they have been well analysed, it is possible you are mistaken.

Do you find chess too easy or too difficult? I can't tell. But from your rating I'll assume the former. You might try fischer chess. You can't analyse fisher chess and computers can't win.

You keep asking for the rules to be changed. Maybe try the variants. There are many kinds. Some have three levels of boards.

Where do you usually post your games? Is it in your blog?

I agree about the behaviour of some members. I think they are pre mature, and not yet fully grown up.

There is a world championship match with Anand that will deicide who is better, Carlgsen or Anand. I hope you watch it. Chess.com have live broadcast about the games. It is good to peep on these things. I learned a lot. But if you don't have premiums, they have broadcast on their official webside. The GM always have premium insider information, but sometime they get highly analytic. Maybe you have friend who let you watch these premium games.

I hope carlsen wins. I analysed his games with houdini, and he make natural moves, going for small adavantages like capablanca. He is very young and his rating is better than kasparov. he beat kasparov when he is 10! That is why kasparov quit chess...because he analysed everything in chess.

These are my thoughts. You seem unnecessarily angry.

Either the sarcasm is strong with you, and this was an entertaining post..

Or I fear you may need serious help ;)
