Computer Blindfold Chess!?
The best way to start blindfold training imo is this:

Work those exercises (and corresponding squares etc) for improved board vision / calculation / blindfold prep. Don't worry if it takes a while in the beginning, it will go a lot faster after only a couple of tries.

Will do / thanks for the advice. Presently I can make up to 20 moves from set openings. I want to improve to full games from any position. Even possibly the board at any point in the game, or reversing moves to any point in the game.
I am just an average chess player. Is this too ambitious a plan for an old head like me?!
Wondering whether there any online computer programs that help practice blindfold chess. This is one of the most suggested ways to improve one's chess skills, and yet it has been ignored. After all chess is meant as an exercise in memory retention.
Has there been interest developing a practice program? It could easily be done where the practicer simply types in or voice activates algebraic notation without a chessboard on the screen. It might be structured for online competition, although it would require some basic rules of play. Blindfold chess can certainly be a challenging & popular format for Chess.com to pursue!
