the problem with the hint button in chessmaster
is that it immediately comes up with a best move and that move may not be the best. it is not deep at all.
no matter if you wait 5 hours it will never change that hint.
I guess the hint will only look 3-4 moves ahead
try looking at mentor lines instead. that will change the best move all the time.
this happened again!

I think the computer is hinting that you shouldn't ask for a hint after the game is over. 
I think the computer isn't too happy about losing ;)
With the greatest of respect, in order for you to be beating the computer, perhaps you have the level of the computer set quite low, so that it's not playing at its best. It could be that the hints it offers are at the same level that you have set the computer to play at.Â

@bluebirdbattery - Just out of curiosity, are you talking about the computer on Chess.com, or some other computer?
