I thought computers understood chess and didn't just crunch numbers.  I guess I was wrong Cry

Good game though.  That's the way to try to beat an engine.

How to beat a ¨weak¨ computer (Doesn't work against Houdini):

Step 1: Get a closed position, where you can play on the kingside, and the computer plays on the queenside. Stonewall formation(used in the game) and closed ruy lopez is 2 examples.

Step 2: Slowly manouvre all your pieces to the kingside, while the computer puts all the pieces on the queensdie

Step 3: Start a tactical operation once it's so clear that your superior position outweight the computers superior calculation ability.

Step 4: Mate the king!

Why not 2.d5 followed by 3.Nc3?  That Benoni typically gives black a headache.  You could even try f4 later but Nf3 might be better against computers.

The game in 13 is brilliant.

"is Computer-4 Impossible really playing that dumb?"

Standard computer moves, it's just delaying the inevitable.

5...c4?! is weak it releases the tension, disregards Steinitz's rule (if an endgame were to occur black would lack the necessary reserve tempi, which would only help white), and the head of the pawn chain can be bopped at to help white punch out and activate.  The computer obviously had no plan, it just ignored white's attack and didn't bother putting up a proper defense or even giving white trouble on the other side.  When pawns point toward the queenside it's usually a good policy to generate play there.
