Hello, I have a question- how it is possible to be more carefully and concentrated in chess? Sometimes I do not see that my oppenent can beat it. It is very difficult for me to be carefully during all the game. What I could do with this? Sometimes I move a chess piece and do not see that it can be beaten. I am need a help because of I would not like to stop to play chess. Thank you! Rebekka.

You turn down the volume in your mind completely relax and go in a very, very deep state of concentration all the noise goes away once the clock starts your total focus must be only on the Chess Board the pieces squares and your opponent nothing else. During a Chess game you become part of the board and pieces you can feel the squares feel your opponents mind inuitively at work you can almost reach out and touch it with your hand your that close to someone else's mind it use to spook me when I first started to play in tournaments.

When your in someone's head figuring out how they tick to destroy them it can be a bit creepy.

it's not a concentration issue. more a combination of bad board vision, wrong thinking process and lack of tactical skill. we all go through this. just do a lot of tactical exercises and work on your thinking process. don't forget what your opponent can do. if you find an interesting move (before you touch the piece) slip into the role of your opponent and think about what would you do next. always look at the whole board not only a small section. if you move, your move will change things, open diagonals, close lines, control new fields, give up old ones etc. keep that in mind and think about how those changes are for benefit or disadvantage. later you won't have to think about those things anymore, they will run subconscious but at the beginning you'll have to ask yourself those questions.
