it just like an imaginary chess move of a game, but not moving a piece in  the usual game that you are playing.. try clicking the conditional move in one of your game after you makae a move! thanks....

its quite simple, you program your game, so that if your oponent plays a specific move, automatically you tell what move to make, and you dont have to do it manualy. if your oponent plays something diferent, its dosent go off. Its usefull, i guess for openings and end games, but a little to fancy for my taste.

yes it is very useful if you are not online very often and want to get the opening through quickly or if they are obvious moves but I find it helps my chess to just have a fresh look at the board for anything I had missed etc.. even though I had decided last time I had viewed the game...

what exactly is a conditional move?
Nachos

id only find it useful for forced moves or maybe if my opponent can only choose out of 2 moves
