I meant that it must take lots of time to tell people that are being stupid exactly how stupid they are being. That would leave little time for anything else.

Any thread that starts with:
group A should treat group B in way X is actually very likely to create a division that runs exactly across these groups. Saying that there are nice people in group A or B too doesn't change the fact.
A better thread would have been one calling for respectful conduct in general. And of course it isn't directly chess related.
With all that being said, I'm sorry to hear that people have been disrespectful to you. I've read your profile and you seem like a really nice person. just my 2 cents here!

That's only because it got MOVED there. It was originally posted in general chess discussion (I never go to the offtopic forum and only found this by looking in "topics I've posted in").
