I've found a neat idea for maintaining times when cooking :
5min. Blitz game are good for quick one pan dishes and heating frozen foods.
10 min Rapid are good for dishes which requires a good stirring while cooking.
20 min. Rapid games are good for making steaks and such
Didn't find anything for more the 30 min. or bullet so you're welcome to suggest.

30 mins  till the cake is finished in the oven. Also, did you realized when you say “5 mins blitz” it can mean “10 minutes real life”? Because if you counted both your clock and your opponent, it would be 10 minutes. So if you assumed you had 1 second left, and your opponent time finished, then it would be around 10 minutes.

Yes I know. I just used the official chess terms like "Blitz 5min" so It will be more understandable in my opinion.
I assume that everyone understand that it's 5 min. for each side in this case.

I think when someone suggests something for a certain time control , you edit your comment by saying it. Also, is this supposed to be Off Topic or General Chess Discussion? Because it is related to chess but not really chess.

This is why I chose the General section because it's on-off topic

1 minute bullet for making a sandwich

10 min Rapid - Bowl of soup. 20 min Rapid - Bacon, sausage and egg sandwich. Anything longer you might as well go all out and cook a Sunday meal.

Heating coffee in a microwave?
I'm just using hot water with Ness Cafe, a sugar cube and some milk.
