I've noticed a lot of players have this term in Parantheses next to their Chess.com name...  What does this mean (CoT OTB)?

It means, that these people play on line like they play OTB, no Books, no out side help, no DB's, not even ze analise board, they play from their mind & only from their mind, like when people play head to head, yo!

Apoligies are in order then, sorry bro, I use to play a wee bit of blind Chess in me younger days, just to practise, not as hard as it seems, just getting older, don't make it easier, yo!

I've got a lot of friends in that group, COT = Circle of Trust , I don't know, but I do believe they are sincere, I run a similar group for non Data Base's users called Praxis, when I play for them, I use nothing except me memory & one exception, which is stated on the group home page, we only consult ze analise board, if we want, not that I do, but hey, when I play outside that group, at times I consult DB's, especially in VC,  as for knowing .how do you know they're not using a book if they play book moves? , I don't, I just trust what they say, yo!
