Crap standard

He played a whole 8 games and then posted this. When you have an open seek without setting the rating of your opponent your going to get a lot of lower rated accepts.

Yes, in order to be a successful forum troll these days you have to wait for everyone to address your issues, then make a new post repeating these issues as if nobody had responded.  The truly successful troll will round this off with an insistence that some important and widely accepted aspect of chess theory or knowledge is wrong replacing it instead with something spectacularly inaccurate, such as insisting a rook is worth 4 points and a bishop 3 points and a knight 2 points, or ignoring minor piece theory entirely and insisting bishops are always better than knights.  The bar has been set so very high.  Frown

God what a weak lot of players on this site.  I won all my games except for the last one which was a draw - exchanged down to a knight each with 30 seconds left.  I let the clock run out for a draw but apparently that is a loss to me - lol.  And you gui is crap as well.

I wont be back as the standard is way low here.

if you are going to sit around and complain, then get lost.  Why don't you try opening your eyes and actually looking at your opponents rating before accepting the game?! - Gerik

Or indeed will remind the community that they play the trompowsky no matter what opening is being discussed, and indeed will lie about having a fide rating. An ability to share 'what the binnicles', and a liberal scattering of 'lol', complemented by somehow having sufficient  bad taste to joke about the madrid air crash will add to your trolling credentials, and presumably your personality.

And now lie about having a ECF rating.

Online, yeah, maybe; it's hardly serious.  Otb though, if my opponent had after a series of exchanges 2 seconds to make 10 moves to a time control and we each had a knight, I doubt I would be accepting any draw offers.  I would shake hands at the time control however.

This is ludicrous and stupid. Your opponent could stop the clocks and claim a draw from the arbiter.

Anthony, on playchess, the server automatically awards the 50-move draw.

Avatar of Golbat

So he needed to give up his Knight in order to claim the draw? Ouch.

You just gotta' love RR's "kinder, gentler approach".

Fairly sure in playchess too you can press the draw button in this scenario and it's automatically awarded.

The problem with this is, it's only necessary when you have almost no time, and you may lose on time trying to press Draw!

Well, if that were the case, and your opponent was one move away from being checkmated in a K+N or B vs K+N or B (of opposite colour of course) then he could avoid the loss by simply letting his time run down and taking the draw despite it being mate in 1.

I completely understand. You came to this site, played a couple of games, and won all those games, right?

Wait, what's that? You DIDN'T? Surprised I guess you met your match in that 1784-rated player...

I've been wondering what happened.  RainbowRising just hasn't been himself lately -- this is a nice nostalgic flashback to the RainbowRising I remember.

Gee whiz, Rainbow.  Don't you know that everyone is special?  Everyone deserves respect whether or not they have earned it, even if they are the dregs of humanity?

Come on man, the poor, special victims need to be treated as if they are the pinnacle of human evolution!

well tbh, what would probably happen is I would accept a draw and would be kicking myself a couple of minutes later when it occurs to me it might not be.  If however I played on, then it is up to my opponent to attempt to claim a draw with the arbiter.  I specifically indicated it was not in the last time control so I'm not sure how successful a draw claim would be, and as someone who gets into time trouble frequently I would consider it his fault for not playing quicker if the draw was not given.  I think this is pretty fair.  If he's cutting it so fine that he cant physically move his pieces anywhere on the board a few times to make the time control then he was obviously trying to pinch too much time on the clock.

Whoever claimed chess.com was full of players rated 2200 and above?

Because one game didn't go the way he wanted it to, he claims that we're all weak and our standards are low. That is called "sore loser."

Why the heck should we care?? I didn't play for three months on this site at one point and I didn't go announce it to the whole world!
