I like the idea.
By the way there's no requirement to say check. In tournament play a lot of people don't say check in the hopes that the player will miss it and fritter away time on the clock, then have to be told about it when they make an illegal move.
what do you think of chess where one is allowed to move the king in check and have it captured even if not in check mate. where one is not required to say check where one does not have to move the king if in check. where a slight lapse of concentration means the game? cut throat chess
