Da Vinci's chess

Leonardo da Vinci is probably the most genius person to have ever lived. In this context, I'm defining genius as raw potential and talent.  If not the most, one of the top geniuses  of all time. At least, this is what I think after reading everything about him. This person was way ahead of his time and touched pretty much all aspects of education and research ranging from art to biology, astronomy and a lot more. He also lived in both the era of old chess and modern chess. There is even a collection of drawing of chess puzzles by him. I currently don't have them but you can easily find it by searching. He made those puzzles when the new chess rule was only developed recently. Looking at those puzzles, you can asses that they were not only far far too advance  for his era, but also for next eras as well. These master level puzzles were made simply out of his imagination because there were insufficient games of new rules to extract them from.  I only wonder how would he play chess if given the chance for his exhibition of playing. I have faith that it is probable that his chess would even surpass Morphy's raw talents. So, what's your thoughts on him? I adjure you to consider the exclusion of modern chess theories while comparing, and inclusion  of only the raw talent and potential for your judgement  of him.
