I guess promoting to a Bishop is prettier (and I myself prefer it over queening). However, in either case, White can just take the Queen/Bishop with his Rook and postpone mate.

Black promotes to bishop to make the rook not wanting to take it, making it seem like I made a big mistake, and white moves the king instead, only to see that it turns to mate.
