Sorry to comment on an older post… I’m having the same issues. I see a couple other people in the forums talking about David as well. I play a strong opening against him and then he forces a blunder in the middle game.

I have more trouble with the David bot than any of the 1500/1600 bots! I still win quite a few, but my accuracy is always bad. I just played Antonio again and had a 92.7% accuracy and a fairly easy win. I always seemed to be confused and lost playing the David bot. Maybe it is the unconventional opening moves, but I am always blundering along against David. I thought I had passed by the intermediate bots a while ago, but sad to say I still have a lot of work to do. Maybe it is my lack of puzzle practice or other studying that is hurting me now.
P.S. I just got the basic package, so all of the bots are now open to me now. I was just going through and trying to fill in all the 3-star ratings in the intermediate bots when I ran into David!
