nice game BUT I PREFER Rybka.

Houdini is hard to chain down, especially if you're a little fish.

Witness the "stupidity" of computers. Go to the tournament link: http://www.westportchessclub.org/computer-chess/rybka-vs-houdini-100-games-match.htm, load up game 10, jump to move 105, note that it's a draw, and see what happens when a computer is programmed to never settle for a draw.

Game 16 was a blow-out. Houdini defeated Deep Rybka 4.1 in a Closed Ruy Lopez today.

Houdini finally won as Black in a Semi-Slav in round 17. Nice tactic winning the exchange on move 51.

thx for the link. This match is cool.

chessmaster102

man I just loss to a CM in a 15 game match barely in long (60min) time controls just barely (+5,=4,-6) but thismatch maks that seem like child's play.

WhereDoesTheHorseGo

It seems like Rybka has a better understanding of closed or semi-closed positions. It won as White in a French Classical and Houdini didn't. Rybka also won as Black in an English, 4 Knights. Take a look at rounds 63-66.
