Delete game from archive

Why can’t I delete a game from my archive. I have two games that an inadvertently started and now I can’t delete. Ridiculousness. I have since learned of the abort process. Maybe I need to find a different chess app?

You presumably had an opponent for those games.

If you were able to delete games, it would affect your opponent too and all the opponents you have ever had.

They could anonymize me for the opponent and they could keep the game but Chess.com simply doesn't want too. Just seems idiotic that I can't control my own game history. Fully realize this is a futile effort at this point but it really keeps me from engaging with the app.

You can quit the site and there is some sort of process for removing your name,

But I wouldn't worry about it. I doubt anyone will look at your games even if you keep drawing attention to them.
