If your brand new to the game why are you wasting time on theory as it has been said many times before just study tactics for now.

look up aww-rats he is a very good chess coach that's affordable, also go to his YouTube lessons under 'BobbyFischer' and listen to 'lesson001' While most of what the rest are saying is true, a chess coach will save you time and much frustration.

Are you looking to pay? If so, there are quite a few teachers willing to give lessons. If you are looking to pay less, get a membership here and go through the videos.
If you are willing to pay nothing, go to chesstempo.com and study master games.
