Not impressive, e5 isnt a great move but 6. Nf5!?, First play Bb5+ he has to block on Nbd7 Nf5 d5 is really weak and after a6 Bxd7 Qxd7 Bg5 taking out the knight and after Ne3 Nd5 white has a great position best may be Nxe4 Nxg7 Bxg7 attacking d6 d5 Nf6 Bxf6 Bxf6 Rg8 white can't castle and white must have a great game ahead.

Instead of Nbd7 Bd7 Bxd7 Qxd7 and no light square bishop to protect the weak squares.

After 6. Nf5 black should have played Bxf5 ef5 d5 and e5 is suddenly a good move, because black has a big center

And the last move Qd7 was was the blunder Qd8 has to be played.

on your comment "The move e5 let me settle my knight on a lovely square, from which it cannot be removed, and to start a strong and accurate attack." Firstly the knight can be removed with Bxf5 and the strong and accurate attack? after yout Nh6 Be6 and id rather play black, your knight looks rather silly,

it isnt destroying the sicilian in 10 moves, its your opponent blundering in 10 moves

Thank you for the interesting analysis, Daan. I just learnt something new.

I'm not trying to impress 2100 players. My rating is merely 1500

An early e5 is probably a mistake if a6 hasn’t been played first.

Yes. When the Najdorf Sicilian first evolved, it was marked as such by the ... e5 move.
The variation was revised PDQ that ... e5 had to follow ... a6
As such ever since the early 1950's the move 5. ... a6 has been regarded as the marker for the Najdorf.
