Now that we have DGT support for PC website, can we expect support for android app in near future? Or is it doable now?

Can't you just use a browser app to access the website?

I use the Chrome browser app most of the time to access chess.com on my Android phone.

Yes, but we need to have DGT Livechess software running in background on PC to have DGT board functionality. But we cannot run DGT Livechess software on android, so no DGT board support on android. By the way WhitePawn android app has superb DGT board support. I wish chess.com would support DGT boards on android app soon.
