The game of chess we know and love will stay as it is I think. There’s no ways people will eradicate centuries of chess development and theory. But I think this would be an interesting variant
I actually got a laugh out of this one, which doesn't happen often with these kinds of posts (unless their macer's)

I have an even better variant. Have green pieces and red pieces. Then White wouldn't go first and neither would black!

I have just re-invented the 1500 year old game, chess.
Check it out, I call it "Chess Remastered"
Here's out it works, instead of white going first. Black goes first. How has nobody thought of this?! It's so simple yet genius!
Black going first changes EVERYTHING. First of all, the idea is to eliminate all opening theory that a lot of weak chess players use nowadays. We can go back to the good old days of chess where talent and creativity shined. When players like Greco and Morphy played gambits and sacrificed. Nowadays players like Carlsen and Nakamura play like Kramnik and try to bore your opponent to sleep with their 40 move home preparation.
It'll be another 100 years before phonys invent a program to "solve" Chess Remastered.
