Disconnecting from chat and reconnecting trolls. Big problem.

I've noticed a growing trend where the opposition spam disconnecting and reconnecting to chat in order to distract the opponent. It's ridiculous that this writing is in red and the chat box can not be hidden as far as I know.

Please change this feature. Lichess have an easy opition where you just tick a box as to whether you want the chat box displayed or not. This constant spam from the opponent is ruining my chess experience here at chess.com

Disable chat so they won't be expecting any replies, then un-maximize your window and move the chat part off-screen.  Out of sight, out of mind.

I've noticed the same thing, but not the reason. People who disconnect and reconnect. It's weird and slightly distracting but I don't think it affects whether I win or lose.

Wish Chess.com could find out if it is malicious or not and put an end to it. Seems like the phenomenon started just a couple or few months ago. I don't remember seeing that in previous years.

Are you sure everyone who does that is trolling?

I don't think most people are going to be distracted much by that, certainly I'm not, and your time still runs while disconnected, so that seems like a really bad strategy. I'd guess you're just meeting people with bad connections.

i think if you cry hard enough you will become 5 times world champion one day.

Surely this is a troll post?

Just ignore the spammers,  after all it is only your computer, nothing else..
