Early in the game there is an option to abondon. Doing that all the time is not allowed, but sometimes it is needed.

Could anyone please explain why some players disconnect from a game. It then runs out the clock and it is labeled abandoned. No one wins or looses. I have reported some people for this because it seems that this is (quitting) a game. Is it also a strategy to keep your rateing from being affected? Is it a way of cheating? I find it very frustrating. It seems to always happen just when I am winning a game.
