Do chess players have unreasonable perspective?

Do chess players lack perspective, or have an inflated sense of importance about the game or their favorite chess websites?

For instance, do people that play World of Warcraft lobby to have WoW covered on "Wide World of Sports" or are surprised when it is not?

Do chess players lobby to have chess covered in Wide World of Sports?

Most threads about the subject it seems the majority of players don't consider it a sport.

Umm, I never did that when I played WoW.  I was just happy with my Flameward Hippogryph and winning battlegrounds. 

Guys... Thomas_Hauser (I don't remember his first ID) is back to brag about how he got the chess.com wiki article removed.  Apparently he counts this as one of his biggest accomplishments because this was years ago (IIRC).

Outrageous.

What did the Chess.com Wiki article state that needed to be removed?

I have no idea what you're talking about.  Although in a Wiki markup site, you can add or change anything easily so if you think an article is necessary feel free to add one or edit the existing one.
