If I were rich I'd hire Dvoretsky to be my butler so I'd have a live in chess coach.
Rich doesn't necessarily mean smart but they have had opportunities to attend college because mommy and daddy could afford it. To be rich one has to be either lucky or put in ungodly amounts of time into a business, research market trends, etc. And that's if you have start up capital, and potential clients won't take you seriously unless you went to college so that's another big expense.

You don't have to go to college to become rich. A person certainly does need a good education in whatever field they choose to pursue to earn money (& further education in wealth building, finacial mangmnt, etc) but that education doesn't have to be obtained from a classroom of certain peoples choosing.
Read the Millionaire Mind. It's a book of in depth interviews of self made millionaires & what it took to get there. Education is important but it all comes down to what education really is. A person can be very well educated & not have a degree, their degree is wealth. They may study a lot, but not in school. They get real world education.
