Search google for "migatte no gokui" or if you use chrome, like any person whose IQ is above 40, then highlight text, right click, and search google that way.
Why are you posting in a forum "what?"
Damn

I listen to Zen Buddhist style music but it doesn’t help much. I may try meditating and practising yoga with my chessboard and pieces set up before me to see if that has any discernible results.

you guys never seen the drunken master movies with jackie chan ,there you go ,your chess will improve for sure

HE IS A DRUNKEN MASTER BUT NOT EVERY PEOPLE ARE DRUNKEN MASTER YOU STUPID
@robbie it probably depends on the person and their brain chemistry. It makes me more slow and patient. It’s bad for my blitz and bullet but increases my performance in slow chess and tactics puzzles. When I’m sober I don’t have as much patience or motivation to calculate everything, and I certainly won’t double check things. When I’m “unsober” I have the patience to look at almost every legal reply. Said substance is proven to increase your performance in creative arts
If it enhances the cognitive process then fine, personally i found myself making elaborate plans that were easily refuted by my opponent. Of course you could argue that this was not as a direct consequence of being stoned but some other factor, which may be a valid argument.
