Yup that one
See, there's nothing called luck in chess. If u have reached 1700,then u are a 1700....for eg,i am a 2000,even if i start a new account,i will still be able to reach 2000 becoz i deserve to be here
My rating randomly shot up a few hundred points a few months ago for some reason
You're obviously a very strong player, but if you aren't enjoying playing then why even bother?
Who cares what rating you are.
When you are at a level that you are getting matched with players of similar ability, you will win as much as you lose. Thats the whole point of the rating system.
If you don't enjoy unless you win, maybe thats an ego problem? Losing is part of life, not just chess, if you don't accept it then you're in for a miserable ride.

I care a lot about my rating. I’m trying not to but it keeps coming back to me
Yes ! Same here i Keep Playing and Playing again and again for Drinking Beetroot Juice ... and so on . ( especially during the Week-end )
Sometimes you jump up randomly, sometimes your brain just clicks and you shoot up because you got smarter, for example, I was a 800 bullet 2 yrs ago, in 1-2 months I gain 550 points. And stayed there, and then kept going up to where I am now at a 1650. Also, it's normal for me to hit a peak level of around 50-100 points ahead of where I am, and then drop 50-100, 100 max, and then shoot up past my peak around 50-100 points, and continue on in that level.
I feel like I’ve been lucky with my opponents and my rating is not well deserved. I keep losing and losing but I want to reach my goal so I keep playing. I tried taking a break but my will to play keeps going. So do I deserve my rating?
