Could playing chess variants help improve your skill in standard chess?

Chess 960 is prabaly the most helpful variant

You never see Magnus playing crazy house but he competes in 960 tournaments all the time

I really do feel like chess 960 could slightly help in your openings

Especially for beginners, cause instead of just knowing push this pawn, and not that one, but chess 960 is more focused on do you know what pawns to push

Slightly help in standard chess, ig.

Yea.
