Do we need a composite rating system?

My favorite timed game is the daily as I get to relax and enjoy the game, although I do like it when a game is faster paced than a move per day.

Ok, that said, I have run across a few players that have a 900, for example, daily rating, but have a rapid rating of a few hundred points higher. If someone has a 1300 rapid rating, what are they doing to have only a 900 daily rating?

Maybe we need a rating, that excludes blitz and bullet ratings, that is a combination of the rapid and daily games.

I don't know, Barry. When you're in a time crunch, Rapid is a pretty different game from Daily......

I am the same case. In daily, my elo is lower, because when I play rapid, i always play in calm consquences.

Yes, it is harder than daily. So if someone has a 1300 rapid rating and a 900 daily, what's going on, lol.

I have 1074 daily and 1447 rapid. The thing that happened: last year i got soooo bored in my daily games, that i took a break, i was always on vacation, till it run out, so i lost all of the game. Then i made the mistake that i played the daily games with the speed of blitz, because i didn't have enough patience. Now i found the balance, and i am going sky high in daily (beating someone with 1500 daily, 1900 rapid in a tournament)
