Do you get points for losing?

You're right , we can't lose in forums

The "forum thingys" are what the points on your profile are. You get points for posting on forums, blogs, articles, etc. You must be quite active on them. No, losing games does not contribute to the number
No guys, I mean that the games you play. Not the forum thingys.
If you are talking about game rating points, you shouldn't be awarded rating points for a loss regardless of the strength or rating points of the opposition.
If you are talking about puzzle rating points, you get a minimum of +1 for new, "pending" puzzles. Solving incorrectly will still get you +1 rating point (because the puzzle would still be experimental).
No, That's not possible tho regardless of your oppenent rating, I think the less thing you can get if you are facing a high rated player is -1.

Things like that are due to recent refunds. The actual rating code uses the updated rating, the display uses the last listed rating. So it just looks like gaining points for losing.
You guys are wierd(no offense)
This "1032" is basically measuring how active you are in the forums. I likely presume you have made a total of 1032 postings on all the threads in this Chess.com forum.

I’m still VERY confused.
The points on your profile a just a reflection of social activity on site and that is it.

In comparison, I have included your current game ratings for bullet, blitz and rapid as well as puzzles and others.
When we use the word "points" on this site without making reference to "rating points", we mean forum activity points.
Your question was on "do you get points for losing" and that you had 1015 points on the first page. You can't lose points in the forums - they simply add up no matter what, and is something which cannot be undone.
Unless 1015 was coincidentally your puzzle rating at the time of my writing three months ago...but what I noticed on that day was that your displayed forum points was 1015 at the time (currently 1035).
Anyway, here are the values I was referring to for game rating points.

😑 seriously? Martin has a different idea and you also have a different idea. THE PROBLEMS STILL NOT SOLVED.

Send us a screenshot of the "points" which you are referring to. This is because your usage of the word "points" is very ambiguous.
I will then look to see whether you mean "game rating points", "forum points" or some other type of points.

I've actually posted about both situations. If you're talking about rating, it's possible for the game dialog and results to show a gain in rating after a loss, if you've recently had a point refund. Those refunds are only added on the back-end and the dialogs use the previous rating to generate the point loss/gain; the actual rating algorithm uses the value from the back-end.
Points I have:1015
