It sounds like you should work on some tactics. No matter how bad your opponent's position is you'll need tactics to take advantage of it, assumming your opponent doesn't create more weaknesses or blunder.

this is one of the reasons why i lose so many games. I just dont have the killer instinct to finish a guy off as quickly as possible. I enjoy the cat and mouse one sided struggle so much that i sometimes stretch it out, giving my prey room to breathe gather his wits and stage a counter attack. I need to play with "blood in my mouth" so to speak, and stop playing like a little kid who doesnt care wether he wins or loses. I need to grow a real killer instinct or ill stay where i am. what about you Joe?
