Does anyone know of a game where a sacrifice went wrong and failed??

Does anyone know of a game where a sacrifice was attempted, but was miscalculated or didn't work for some other reason. If so, explain why it went wrong if you can. They always show games where sacrifices worked. It would be interesting to see a game where someone messed up a sacrifice. Edit: I mean a top grandmaster level game if possible. If not then I mean a regular grandmaster game.

I'm talking about a grandmaster level game.

In Corus, 2008, Topalov played a well calculated (at home) sacrifice against Kramnik: 12. Nxf7, and he won.

Seeing this game, the next day Jan Timman tries the same sacrifice against Ljubojevic. Of course, they had already discussed this variation in the post-mortem interviews, and it was no longer a surprise move. Ljubojevic plays the improvement 17...Rhg8 and Timman seems to not know the follow-up and ends up losing because he probably didn't really study this line.

Interesting, love this comparison.

The last game in the 1992 Fischer-Spassky match where Spassky played as White and sacrificed multiple pieces.

Any failed sacrifices by a supergrandmaster.
