@kleelof: agree, it's like certains comments here about heavy smokers bringing lawsuits against tobacco companies and demanding them millionaire compensations: "Americans are crazy". Well, is not so easy, since is proved those companies did everything they could to deny the nocive effects of tobacco for many years.

Interesting documentary, but it seems to me it states something obvious. Just like that poll, according to what, the three more popular superheroes of all times are Superman, Spider-Man and Batman, in that order.

To be honest, that's what I've felt when watching it as well.
Not trying to offend americans, but I was screaming at the screen at some scenes about how clueless most of them seemed.

This is a worldwide problem, not just an AMerican problem. It was like this 10 years ago when the movie was realeased.

I'm noticing this only in the far west, though.
Especially ten years ago, junk food weren't this spread in Europe as is now.
Somehow, even ten years ago, the people where I live knew that if you don't know how something's made, you shouldn't eat it.

Anyway, chess or no chess, a low or no meat diet is going to be all around better for you.

I believe you have seen the light.

I don't think so.

They're not crazy.
That is actually a pretty smart move to pull off.

Anytime someone starts talking about the negative effects of smoking, this is the first thing I always think of:

Yes, I think I heard that also.  Wasn't it Carlsen who said he loves broccholi?

I've lived in Thailand for 10 years. When I first came here, obiesity was already a recognized and growing problem. Perhaps you live someplace where you are fortunate enough to have staved off the McD's growth a little longer.

I'm not sure what this means. This is the first statement I've made about my views of what a healthy diet is. My other comments just were dealing with some inaccuracies in that documentary and the message some may have taken away from it.

I love to eat at McDonalds and Burger King sometimes. But every since childhood I knew it was not healty. As someone else put it, I prefered to eat food that I knew how they were made.

You know, like chicken fried steak, fried chicken, fried fish, french fries....Laughing

Okie, new rule. If you can't spell it, you can't eat it.

'Broccholi' sounds like some kind of vegetable beer.
