Does Bullet Kill Chess ?

What is generally your opininon about bullet games ?

High quality bullet games are just incredibly impressive.

But it's clear that you have to be at a certain level for it to be anything more than random mouse movements.

Epic fun. It's not true chess, maybe even I would go far enough to call it a variant. Either way, the better at chess, the better at bullet. But this is just mostly true.

A bullet cannot kill chess ... chess is a butterfly net for ideas... there are plenty of ideas in 1 min - if you watch Nakamura's games ...

Along with blitz i find it incredibly frustrating :P At the low level i play at it seems just to be about going for cheap tricks/traps that shouldn't work but often do because of the time situation. And you don't really gain anything from analysing the game after

I think if you are not a IM or GM bullet play or even up 10 minutes games can hurt your 2 hours otb games

because you are trained to play a move almost instantly. sitting on your hands after a fast game tournament is very difficults
