I was about to make the same point @Martin_Stahl . To elaborate a little, chess.com is a business and users still have to abide by their policies, regardless of what the constitution says. Schools have dress codes, corporations have codes of conduct and so do websites. Like it or leave it.

With sites like this freedom of speech isn't guaranteed, but the ways the media in general has gone to extreme lengths obsessing over things people said is what's probably illegal. Harassing, canceling, suing, threatening, discrimination, unlawful terminations...etc that's what's gotten out of control. People need to grow up.

I've been here a month. I was sincere about the OP. That I'm an advocate for lgbtq+ rights I do not deny. I respond to hateful, bigotry and trolling and it seems they don't like it and aren't used to it. Shame.

There are plenty of legal restrictions on those things but the constitution isn't one of them.

Actually many of the radical actions taken against "offensive statement perpetrators" probably violate the civil rights act of 1964. But of course, people want to cherrypick when the constitution applies and when it doesn't. The 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 14th amendments all seem to be going down the drain.

It isn't about liberals any more than religious 'morality' is about republicans. Politicians pander to these group ideas for votes. Do you really believe all liberals favor LGBT equality? Do you really think none of them own guns? Do you really believe all republicans go to church and democrats eat babies? Come on.

I believe liberals hate God. Love abortion, sexual immorality and killing babies as a result of sexual immorality.

So supporting the gay movement is a jab in the eye of Christianity, as is liberal support for Muslims.
