Frnds,i wud like 2 knw if there are any hot female players in chess arena as there r so many in case of tennis.....sum1 who can match likes of sharapova nd kornikova....or there r only dull faces in chess....wud luv 2 hear 4m u guys....

hi, this happened to me this evening!! At all cost i defended my ugly queen with honest intention to use her in an informidable bid !! But my opponent was an one eyed scarred one who disappointed me with a ruthless shot killing my queen!! on the spot !!!

TO THOSE WHO THINK THAT WOMEN WERE NEITHER OPPRESSED IN N PAST NOR THEY ARE AT PRESENT I WOULD ONLY SAY "WHAT THE HELL "..I LIVE IN SOUTH ASIA AND HERE WOMEN ARE TREATED AS SECÖND CLASS CITIZEN..so where is the equality??......MY THIS THREAD MAY SOMEWHAT SEEM TO BE OFFENSIVE TOWARDS WOMEN (MAY BE BECAUSE I HAVE USED THE WORD"HOT" ) but i never meant to offend anyone.....anyway i think i have already given enough explanation about this...now i simply i dnt care what you think about me......i raised this topic because there are my friends who think that chess is a boring game..and i also realized that there are lots of people( specially from young generation) who have same misconception abt the game....they think that chess is played only by nerds,scientists,idle persons.. i realy feel bad to see all this bcoz i m a chesslover....and i think beauty is the best marketing tool to attract young people..thats why we always have some hot young lady in most of the advertisements that we see on tv or elsewhere and not a dull face,isnt it the case???....so i think presence of few beauties in the international arena will be good for the game....

I appreciate your sentiments. I get tired of the stereo types that tend to be associated with chess.Examples are... Only dweebs play. Only ugly dweeb girls play. Good looking girls aren't smart enough to be good. Any guy who plays chess, can't get a date, let alone, a good looking woman. Etc.

I am glad that women like to play chess. I wish more did. I wish I had a beautiful wife that liked to play chess with me and it was a good competition. It actually makes me angry to think that just because you like both chess and beautiful women who play it and you want to share your opinion about it, that there are people who think you are automatically objectifying those women. It isn't that I don't like what I see when I see a gorgeous woman scantily clad and representing chess too. I don't think we need to make them look slutty, but if someone does, it doesn't mean I can't still apreciate what I see, while I shut the rest of the b.s. out of my mind.

That's awefully stereo typical and judgmental on your part, to assume that just because a man says a woman is good looking that she ever caused him to have an erection. Or that he ever got one thinking about her. Or that he'd really like to. People can sit in a chess forum and talk about how nice looking there chess set is, no one accuses them of it being sexual. Why does the mention of looks automatically have to be sexual, when it comes to women? I actually think it is people like you who automatically associate the two and who won't let people freely enjoy what there eyes see, that actually do more damage. You think sheltering, hiding, or falsely accussing someone will deter them from any bad behavior. Give a k-9 a steak every day and observe him, docile and no threat, starve the "dog" for a while and see how it acts....
