well, he does think himself a good player, but compared to how strong he really is, I think he's pretty humble. Not to mention the guy is always positive. Whenever he goes through a tough time, he's always positive. I mean, when he lost to Magnus in the Magnus chess tour a while back, he logged on and was positive. If that were me, I would start bawling my eyes out and be super pissed at myself

It was weird to include himself in the ranking. If Levi ranks Hikaru somewhere reasonable like "Legend" or "Unlucky" then maybe you can say Hikaru doesn't believe in himself/doesn't have confidence, etc. (even if that is non-sense and he is just being realistic). If Levi ranks him really high like he did though, then everyone will say he thinks too highly of himself like what is happening. Lose lose in my mind

Well, he is humble for how great he really is, but if he were rated 1200, that kind personality is a great way to die alone, but I think we can all safely say that Hikaru does get to playingly bully Levi. After all, Levi is not a pro streamer like Naka or Magnus. He plays for fun, and honestly, is probably at OTB than online...

Caruana grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He went to Italy as a teenager to play just like Firouzja. I was born overseas but came to the US before I remember and barely speak the language of where I was born. So and Dominguez came to the US to have more opportunities, there wasn’t some vast conspiracy to steal players. That’s silly.
Avatar of PILOTOXOMXD

Well, not really. Every good chess player who moved here bcuz US is like the most famous country, ppls rights. That's why

Avatar of PleasantEscalator

Thats true. And firouzja only moved to France because he thought it would be hard to continue his chess career in Iran.

That video starts with Hikaru talking about Ivanchuk. It has nothing to do with Hikaru. Then the Levy dork dude just assumes blitz and rapid are as equal in importance as classical and asks Hikaru to compare them using him and Caruana.

...

Putting Blitz and Rapid on the same level as classical Chess is 100% delusional.

The only reason we see such relatively high quality blitz and rapid games is solely due to the skills acquired through the hard work, time and effort the top players have put into classical Chess.

To anyone that thinks that Nakamura is humble or positive when he loses:

I can find dozens of other examples of him being a sore loser.

Like why would you waste 5+ mins of someone's time like that in a lost position? Just resign like a real man.
