Does PTSD affect my chess

I have similar symptoms to PTSD, and I wonder if that is why I do poorly in chess, or if I am just a beginner. Should I stop playing?

I have no personal experience with this at all . . . but I can tell you that I had a friend who thought chess helped him in this regard. It was a nice escape, and, further, that he got practice focusing on things.
Nevertheless . . . YMMV
it hasn't affected me I don't think and I have it

I definitely think so. I wrote a blog post about it. This book has a lot of insight: 
I’ve noticed stress messes up my focus too, especially in longer games. I try to play shorter ones when I'm not feeling great, makes it easier to stay present.
