Does the move bc4 make anyone else cringe?

Whenever I play a person 1300 or under, they play bc4 against any opening that's not e4. Such as c5, e6, d6, g6, nf6, and c6. I also cringe when they react to a non e5 move like it's a bad move and I don't know how to play openings correctly.
