It is only a motivation!! If you are not a professional rating it doesnt matter!! Club players or scholars keep their rating as a career point in motion!!
Does your rating actually matter?

rating is not a true evaluation of your abilities. rating is only considers total wins AND loses in comparison to other players wins AND loses.

It doesn't matter but it's the only way to tell how strong a player is, if someone can't think, then he cant play, so he's not a very good player. Of course that's not a potential measure, just a result measure. But you don't need to care about rating, in 99% of the cases you won't get anything from it, so just play and have fun
Truth is, online ratings are next to meaningless compared to OTB.
You will learn online is a different pool of players and secondly, online play is geared towards speed chess where quantity trumps quality of play. KMF usa
That explains why you let ur blitz stay at 1200 that's great
?
I know better to start up speed chess again because I’ve worked very hard on my tactics training, board vision, visualizations and deepen calculation abilities for OTB; there is no need for that spectrum of skill set in online bullet and blitz.
Ill play the odd times with friends to help them with their openings, middle games and pattern recognition but leave it at that.
