Anyone with any idea about this please? I really need to know this sort of information.
Dongle Data Usage

10 GB per month is way too much. I found 350 MB enough for maintaining 30-40 games plus emails and some other browsing. So 10GB should be enough for 3 years or more.

3 KB/sec
180 KB/min
1.8 MB/10min
10.8 MB/hr
This was using the activity monitor that comes with mac computers, under application/utilities I hope this helps.

Our country's telecommunications is run by a monopoly called Telkom (referred to by us as "Hellcom").
We pay for every kilobyte of data we use and if you wish to have fixed-line internet access (that is not wireless) they force you to pay for a telephone connection, even if you don't ever make a land-line call. Most of us prefer to use our cellular phones to make calls.
That is why I also use a "dongle" (or USB data stick, if we are referring to the same device here) for my internet connectivity. Unfortunately, because of disconnection issues with wireless internet, I am limited to turn-based chess.
One faithful morning I was playing a LIVE game and was winning comfortably when my connection dropped. I subjected my poor neighbors to the sight of me running around in the garden (laptop in hand) in my sleeping shorts trying to get my signal back.
I am new to chess.com, so I had a question regarding the data usage for a dongle. I just need to know how much data does a 10 minute chess match use on a dongle? I usually subscribe for a 10 GB per month plan, but I need to calculate how much I actually need. If you know, please get back to me soon. In a month, I predict I'll play around 300 matches.
