I also recommend that you do some research into the laws of private businesses, and why they are allowed to restrict first amendment rights (i.e. free speech). By registering with chess.com a party agrees to all terms and stipulations noted by said business. I tell you this because I firmly believe that knowledge is power, and I want you to become educated on a topic in which you sir, are frankly quite ignorant.
Why not just disabling the chat? The game is on the chess board, not on the keyboard. 
I rarely, if ever, communicate with my opponents in live chess anyway. If for some reason I should need to do so, I might send a private message afterward.
He called you lucky, why would you be so mad at him?
Good people play chess with the pieces on the board.
Those of poor upbringing operate their mouths + vulgarity so report him. (or her)

Oh, i'm sorry i didn't realize you were legal council for chess.com and that you are the apparent authority on telling people what they can and can't say.... oh, that's right, you're a nobody who get's offended when people say bad words. that being said i think chess.com has enough people working for them who can censor the forums without a peon do-gooder like you butting in. so scram.
At 1st, I was gonna chime in and say, "come on people, give him a break, the OP is just a kid who doesn't know any better." BUT THEN I LOOKED AT HIS HOMEPAGE. He's been here since 2008 and has 0 friends. Now I'm REALLY suspicious of him. Somethings not right medically. 0 friends in 6 years ??

I'm not defending him, but yeaddy's 25 yrs old. Too old to be a kid, no old enought to be mature.

Could be he/she is just a person with a healthy attitude to friendship. In what way does clicking a button constitute the formation of a relationship?
Sometimes I click the button, but it means nothing. I don't expect to ever go for a surf or beers with any of the accounts that have requested friendship
