Yes, after 1.d4 the e file Bishop is loosed and the pawn on d4 does not block the Queen or light square Bishop. (Unlike the silly move 1.e4)
I like 1. f3, here bishop, even better than 1. d4, getting the dark-squared bishop freed-up, and not exposing the king on the c1-h6 diagonal. What do you all think?
