Yes, but for example you played Qe4 so if the rook was in a4 and the knight was in h4 that is a double attack and also if you are white and opponent is black, so I will tell you

If the rook moves you will capture the knight and if the knight moves then you will capture the rook

If the rook moves you will capture the knight and if the knight moves then you will capture the rook

What if the rook on a4 just captures the queen on e4?  Forking two pieces, where at least one of the two attacked pieces captures the same way as the forking piece, usually doesn't work out too well.happy.png
