I was wondering, is there any educational value to change drastically openings (for a specific period of time) to get used and work on different positions, pawns structures etc... in slower time control and daily chess?
I have never, in my entire life, played 1.e4 ou 1...e5 (i exclusively play 1..c6 against e4) for example. Just for the fun i played some 1.e4-1...e5 games and got absolutely demolished (i played blitz though).
No of course but I didn't mean in a way of results but in a way of getting to get to know structures and a variety of plan. To make short, to adapt. But on the other hand one common comment is: pick one opening for white, 2 for black (against d4 and e4) and stick to it.
Hello,

Just wondering your opinion on that
