draw by repetition in live chess

I was wondering what the rules are to get a a draw by repetition in live chess. In online (Correspondence) the position must be repeated three times to claim a draw, but in live chess the position must be repeated a lot more. I played someone in a game who was just repeating the position over and over even though the game was drawn just to run my clock since I had less time left. Seems like poor sportsmanship to me.

Uh no.  You just needed to hit the draw button to claim it.  Honest:

yes, you just hit the draw button after the three repeated moves - it works - I have done it myself!

you can have a draw if you and your opponent agree to it.

that is the easiest way for anybody to draw a 2700

why do 2700 players care so much about their ratings
