Drawing with a lower rated player.

I was wondering how bad your rating would drop if you got a draw with a player 400 rating points (using the glicko system) below you.

Using the Glicko system I can't tell without looking for the formulas, since it depends on both players' RD score.

Is this for an online game? You can click on the Details tab and then 'show rating adjustment' to see what would happen.

The calculations are VERY complex,and I'm working on them now, but I'm rather sure it will drop about 20-100 points.

E: You will lose about 40 points, depending on his RD. If his RD was smaller than yours you will lose more points, and if his RD was higher than yours you will lose less points.

I have an opponent 440 below me, and my RD is 61.  For a draw I lose 8 points.  (win = +1, and loss = -17.

BTW this refers to Turn-based games.
