I used to play drunk chess with friends and strip chess with gf (wife now) when I was young. I hope I'm not mixing memories here...
drunken chess

For some reason I had images of the Druken master fighting on a life size board of chess. I really don't know why I expected that when I came onto this board.
I don't drink, but I recommend that each player drink the same amoutn at the same time in order to keep things fair.
My question is this: What does a 3 and a half hour game with drinking look like?
To keep it fair, there's more than the amount of alcohol to consider... except if your're talking about identical clones playing vs eachother xD
I guess we can organize weight classes....

Btw, drinking a lot of alcohol is not very healthy
very healthy for the alcohol dealer
yeah xD i guess you're right
but even my "alcohol dealer" advised me against a very strong drink i was inquiring him about lately (although he's selling it among many other stuff), probably because he knows me for decades and cares a little about me (i'm talking about 80% alcohol absinthe)

He is not drunk,
who from the floor,
can rise again
and drink some more.
But he is drunk
who prostrate lies,
and can not drink,
and can not rise.

80% alcohol? That's too much Eseles.
I'll never drink BTW.
yes, it's too much
i don't drink often, and i'm ususally having some beer or wine
now that it's getting hot here, i enjoy having a cold beer once in a while - sometimes as light as 2%, sometimes as strong as 9%
i'm not saying you should try alcohol, but if you have a glass of red wine it might be even good for your health!
but getting drunk is not good for your own health, not good for other people around you, and not good for playing chess, unless you just want to have some silly time

I'm from Wisconsin, USA, where we have hot and cold running booze from our faucets in our homes and drink for the government. This has nothing at all to do with my blitz rating on here.

Does it make you sleepy?!
if you drink enough (depending on the person and on the circumstances), yes, and if you drink a lot more it can even make you unconscious

Really? I never knew that. I thought it would be similar to caffeine.
coffee can work like an antidote to booze
caffeine is a stimulant, while alcohol is a sedative

I may have told this story before, but I remember getting drunk one night with two of my friends, one IM and one gay guy. The gay guy suggested that we play chess, and the loser would... ahem... fellate the winner. Neither my IM friend or I thought it was a very good deal, so I ended up playing against the IM blindfolded (actually, he was lying under his bed and calling the moves from there). I eventually lost, but not after making him think hard. I think that was my biggest chess accomplishment, even though I wasn't pleasured... I mean, pleased afterwards.
just thought it would be interesting and funny. It was and I do occasionally do drink and play!
