during endgame, no extra queen?

What would you do? During the endgame, your king is beside your pawn on top of the board during the endgame. Your pawn is about to reproduce a queen, but you don't have any extra ones on you.

Maybe I don't understand what you mean by "withdrawing the pawn."

If you mean deciding not to promote and weakening your chances to win because you don't have a piece that looks like a real queen, then no, it's not logical at all.
