Easier to win with black rather than white

Conventional chess wisdom is it is an advantage to have the white pieces but I'm finding it easier to win with black. Is that a rookie thing, just coincidence or do other people find the same?

I have also found it easier to win with black, the advantage is nice for white, but being able to react to what you opponent does first has helped me win way more

According to your game statistics, you played 54 games of rapid in total, comprising 27 games of each colour.

.

Out of these, as White, your win/draw/loss (W/D/L) numbers are 17/1/9, and as Black, they are 18/3/6. It appears almost even.

.

Note that it's just a slight first-move advantage for White but for the vast majority of players on this site, this is pretty much negligible (and this advantage often evaporates easily early in the game)

.

(And yes, I am among this vast majority)

If you like defending and counterattacking, then winning with black might be easier indeed.
