Actually, use time loss to compare chess and real life is real, as timers represents king's time or the leader's time. Chess is just a smaller version of wars if u compare it in timers. But overall ur points are correct.

Einstein even though never said chess is a waste of time he does spend some time with it and said it was not enjoyable. Does chess ever really done anything to push up his quantum knowledge or his intelligence? If he played chess then what is really the point of it?
